No less than ten persons have died and five others left with several degrees of injuries after a commercial bus somersaulted on Saturday.
The bus which took off from from Okpu-umuobo in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia state was conveying passengers to Enugu for a Traditional Marriage Ceremony when it hit a cow that ran out from a nearby bush around the Lokpanta axis of the Enugu-Port Hacourt Express way.
It was gathered that the driver, in an attempt to dodge the cow, lost control and the vehicle causing it somersaulting.
It was also gathered that both the driver and the conductor lost their lives eight other passengers.
The Abia State Command of the Federal road safety later evacuated the dead bodies to the mortuary while the injured were taken to the hospital.
