A 400 level male student of the Faculty of Management Science, Rivers State University, Nkpolu Orowurokwo, Diobu in Port Harcourt local government area of Rivers state, has been shot dead by a 300 level student identified as Peruzzi at the Faculty of Management Science building on the campus.

An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said the deceased was shot on the head by Peruzzi, while eating at Gavida joint inside the campus, noting that the gunshot caused serious pandemonium as students and staff scampered for safety.

A source also disclosed that Peruzzi who was apprehended by the School Security and officers attached to Nkpolu Divisional Police headquarters, Mile 3 Diobu, is suspected to be a member of the Vikings cult group while the deceased is suspected to be a member of the Ku Klux Klans(KKK) cult group.

The Police Public Relation Officer Rivers State, SP Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the incident in a text message, adding that the details are still sketchy.

Our correspondent gathered that there is heavy security build-up inside RSU campus to forestall reprisals and total breakdown of law and order.

Recall that on July 29, 2021, the Rivers State Police Spokesperson, SP Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the arrest and recovery of guns from a man suspected to be RSU Vikings cult leader inside a hotel located at Mile 3, Diobu, by Octopus Strike Force Officers.

It would also be recalled that on March 2021, one Blessing Ogolo, a final year student of the Mathematics Department, had confirmed to Journalists that he apprehended his course mate who shot him after their examination and handed him over to the school security who in turn handed him over to the Police.

SP Nnamdi Omoni had at that time confirmed the incident and said the shooting of Ogolo was cult-related as he was been fingered to be a cultist.

Also, in July 2019, suspected KKK cult members allegedly led by Blessing Ogolo shot dead one Prince Tuaka, a final year student inside RSU campus.

Although Blessing Ogolo in an interview with Journalists in the month of March 2021, when he was shot had denied being a cultist.
