Soludo expresses optimism as diplomatic community, developmental partners visit Anambra

Chukwuma Soludo, the Anambra State Governor has expressed optimism for the improvement of the living standards for residents of Anambra.

This follows the visit of members of the International Community, comprising the Diplomatic corps and foreign development Partners who were on a one day working visit to the State.

The visitors include HC Catriona Laing CB, British High Commission: High Commissioner; Mr Martin Huth, Embassy of Germany: Charge of Affairs; Amb Samuela Isopi; European Union Delegation: Head of Delegation; HC James Christopher; High Commission of Canada: High Commissioner and HC Thami Mseleku; High Commission of South Africa: High Commissioner.

Expressing hope with the visit, Soludo said “I am confident that this visit would signpost, amongst others, the begining of strategic partnerships that will improve the living conditions of ndị Anambra, especially hundreds of thousands of our brethren trapped in Okpoko, and other adjoining slums in the State.

“We are very much resolved to take Anambra to the world, and also bring the world to Anambra.

“Together, we shall build a liveable and prosperous homeland deserving of our status as a people of so many firsts”.
