The family of Chukwunonso Nebolisa of Enugu Agidi in Anambra State has sent a Save Our Soul message to governor Willie Obiano over his abduction from his hospital bed by officers of the Nigerian police.

Two of his younger brothers Kingsley and Innocent Nebolisa were also abducted by the police while the third one, Clement escaped.

Clement who narrated the incident to newsmen said: ” I was comıng back from my site where I do dredging work at Aguleri around 7pm last monday August 9th, 2021 with my elder brother Chukwunonso Nebolisa and my cousin brother Chukwuma Adazu.

“On getting to a check point along Nteje in Oyi LGA popularly known as Awkuzu junction, our vehicle was then fired at by officers of the Nigerian Navy which led to the immediate death of my cousin, Mr Chukwuma Adazu. Myself and my elder brother sustained bullet injuries.

“The men on duty on realising we were unarmed, helped stop a vehicle that took us to the hospital.

“We got a police report to that effect before my cousin was able to be deposited at the mortuary and the remaining two of us have been taking treatment at the Hospital for three days now.

“Just at about 11pm last night, some men identified as police officers by the hospital security guards, came in a commando style and took my elder brother Chukwunonso Nebolisa who was operated on by a specialist on Tuesday alongside my two younger brothers namely Kingsley Nebolisa and Innocent Nebolisa who were attending to us. Till this moment(4;40 am August 12th, 2021) we are yet to know where the police took them to.

“Myself, I was awake and so I had to hide before they came into the ward were I was receiving treatment, that was why I escaped unkidnapped”
