Security agents set hotel, house, shops ablaze in Imo

A combined team of Nigerian security agencies have set a hotel and residential building ablaze in Orlu local government area of Imo State.

Also burnt during the Sunday attack which occurred at Okporo Obor community were no less than 15 shops and cars.

Standardobservers gathered that the security operatives invaded the community in about 15 vehicles and supervised the burning of Ezeacho Hotel.

Sources said two persons were killed during the attack while over 10 guests were arrested.

The home of the owner of the hotel identified as Chisom Uba located in the same community was also burnt down.

It was gathered that Uba and his family also lived in hotel premises.

Michael Abattam, the public relations officer of Imo State Police Command said he had not been briefed on the incident when contacted by our correspondent.
