Former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi says the only thing actively progressing in Nigeria is corruption.
He said he agrees with the former military dictator, Ibrahim Babangida that the civilian government was more corrupt than the military government.
Speaking on Arise TV on Monday, Obi noted that when he spoke with General Ike Nwachukwu, he told him that his security vote was N45, 000 and he had to account for that to the chief of general staff.
According to him; “You can’t compare that with what is happening today. Corruption is the biggest negatively impacting situation in Nigeria today. Corruption kills entrepreneurship. Nobody thinks in a corrupt country. It kills professionalism.
“Look at where we are now. Professors are in the Universities being owed while thugs and bandits are getting paid. Corruption kills hard work. In a corrupt country, it is difficult for anything to work”
