Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has reassured the safety of lives and properties of the Orlu zone and the State at large.
He also said that some politicians are sponsoring insecurity in the zone in order to intimidate him.
Uzodimma disclosed this on Monday at the Orlu Zone Development Forum Summit on Peace and Development held at Nkwerre Country Club.
At the peace and development summit, the Governor warned aggrieved Politicians to embrace peace and shun sponsorship of violence.
To such politicians, he said, “I cannot be intimidated because I have come to serve and would like to be remembered for good governance and lasting legacies that will mark me out from other politicians who are self-centred and self-seeking.”
The Governor advised the Forum on the need to set up a think-tank that would develop a blueprint for the needed sustained peace and development in Orlu.
The Governor further reiterated his divine mandate and leadership from God on Ndi Imo as he will not fail God or the people of Imo State to ensure peace and development not only to the Orlu region but the entire State.
