A man has been shot dead by a police officer at the Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC secretariat at old GRA Port Harcourt.

The shooting follows a protest by members of the party at the party’s secretariat over the alleged hijacking of electoral material for the Local Government delegate’s election.

The protesters loyal to former Senator who represented Rivers South-East Senatorial District, Magnus Abe alleged that the election materials for the Delegates elections holding today have been hijacked by the former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi.
