Police operatives attached to Anambra State Command have arrested four additional suspects in connection with the recent attack and gruesome murder of three policemen at Isuofia Civic Center in Aguata LGA of Anambra State.
In a statement by Ikenga Tochukwu, the public relations officer of the command identified the suspects as Mbah Victor ‘M’ aged 30years, John Olisakwe ‘M’ aged 21years, Chigozie Omeh ‘M’ aged 20years and Emmanuel Nnobi ‘M’ aged 28years.
The statement said the suspects confessed to have actively taken part in the attack and subsequent abduction of Anambra State Commissioner for Public Utilities, Engr Emeka Ezenwanne, who the Command is working assiduously to rescue.
It added that efforts are still ongoing to apprehend other fleeing accomplices, unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and bring perpetrators to book.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP Monday Bala Kuryas has reiterated his commitment towards ensuring the safety and security of Ndi Anambra, and residents alike.
He urged the public not to relent in providing useful information that will assist the command to nip in the bud all forms of criminality in the state including similar ugly incidents.
