Anambra police command has arrested the Founder of Children of Light Anointing Ministries located in Nkpor, Idemili North local government area, Onyebuchi Okocha, popularly known as ‘Onye Eze Jesus’ for miracles peddling.
According to ABS, Onye Eze Jesus was arrested on Wednesday and will likely be arraigned in court for various offences Today.
Onye Eze became popular for taking adults into a river in Nkpor and having them bath naked while he threw money on them in order to get rich.

His method sparked criticism on social media, forcing the state government to wade into the development.
The state government had in a statement issued by Mr C. Don Adinuba, the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment warned the preacher against his practices which the government termed ‘criminal and indecent conduct in the name of religion’.
The preacher had claimed he was going to raise the dead at mortuaries, forcing the Anambra state Ministry of Health to issue warnings to hospitals and mortuaries operating in the state against granting him access to their facilities to carry out his widely publicised claim, and planned ‘magic’ that he would raise 7 corpses from the dead.
