The speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly Speaker, Kennedy Ibeh has said the candidate of Labour Party for the 2023 general, Mr Peter Obi is on his own.
Ibeh said that the state is for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu.
Speaking during meeting of APC Assembly Speakers with Tinubu in Abuja, the speaker said despite the enthusiasm of Mr Obi on social media, Imo will vote for Tinubu.
He said: “His Excellency, Hope Uzodimma asked me to assure you that Imo is for you.
“The Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi is on his own. If we are obedient, we are obediently in support of the APC. Imo will vote for the APC in 2023” .
