Nigerians have continued in their call for the resignation of the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Patami for speeches that supported Islamic terrorists and calling for jihad against non-muslims.
This comes after Daily Independent Published a damning report which alleged that the minister was on the terror watchlist of the United States of America. The paper later retracted the story and apologised to the minister after he threatened the establishment with a lawsuit.
However, another report titled ‘Unmasking A Jihadi Masquerade: The Many Faces Of Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami’ published by Saharareporters showed the minister as a hardcore Islamist who eulogised wanted terrorists like Osama bin Laden and organizations like Taliban and Al-Queda.
The minister has not responded since the report sent shock waves to the spines of Nigerians but rather chose to lift a treacherous ban on Sim Card registration which has led to the loss of thousands of jobs and billions of naira in revenue to the government.
Nigerians are also wary that such a man with terror links is in charge of National Identity Number-Sim Card linkage, and are calling for his resignation.
