The general overseer of the Omega Power Ministries located in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has awarded scholarships to the seven siblings of Deborah Yakubu.
Deborah was moved by fellow students in Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto over alleged blasphemy.
Her death caused uproar nationwide. It also sparked riots in Sokoto as rioters called for the release of her arrested killers.
Apostle Chinyere who operates free schools in Rivers, Abia and Jos also offered to relocate the family to Port Harcourt and gift them accommodation.
He noted that after seeing the video where her parents said they will not be sending their kids to school again, he said he was touched and decided to help the poor family.
He, therefore, urged anyone with links to the family to reach out to the church.
