The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere has announced plans to stop new intakes for OPM overseas scholarships due to the increasing dollar rates.
He, however, said that students who are travelling in August, and September for the Overseas scholarship won’t be affected as they will be the last new intake
“In a post on Facebook, he was left with no other option.
He said: “I just finished meeting with a professor and I have instructed the OPM international matron that from January 2023, there will be no more new intakes for OPM overseas scholarship because of the ever-growing dollar rates.
“So all those we just paid there school fees last week for Cyprus that will be traveling this month of August and those for Germany that will be traveling September are the last New intakes for overseas scholarship”
Apostle Chinyere equally promised to set up an OPM University in Nigeria that Will be free of charge.
He added that it will be open to both Muslims and Christians from other churches.
“I have already given the professor funds to travel to Abuja Nigeria for the registration and approval of the first free university in Nigeria to be called OPM free university.
“The university shall be ran 100 percent free of charge and it will be open to both Muslims and Christians from other churches. Serious OPM members, not visiting members shall have 90 percent slot, while 10 percent shall be shared for Muslims and other denominations.”
