Ifeanyi Chuwkuma Odii, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial candidate in Ebonyi State has unveiled his campaign office for the 2023 gubernatorial elections.
Odii also said that his mission is to take back the state from the All Progressives Congress, adding that litigations within the party will slow his mission down.
Speaking to his supporters in Abakiliki, he said that when he emerged as the flag bearer of the party a month ago, they showed that they believed in his vision.
According to him, “I am aware that certain grievances remain within our party. But litigations here and there will only slow us down on our mission to take back power from the APC in the forthcoming elections.
“So I want to use this opportunity to plead for unity. Let us come together as one party without factions and in solidarity with our common purpose, which is to deliver good governance to the people of Ebonyi state.
“I am committed to diversifying the state economy and leveraging our strengths in agriculture, affordable healthcare services, education, manufacturing, and the creative industries.
“The goal of my plan is to create wealth for our people, empowering them to multiply the natural and human endowments of Ebonyi state and take charge of their own destiny.
“The mission to transform Ebonyi state demands a combined effort. As a governor, I cannot accomplish it on my own. I will need devoted men and women to work as commissioners, advisers, special assistants, and other positions when we win.
“This campaign office is another significant milestone on this mission. Here, we will brainstorm ideas, develop election-winning strategies, and formulate official policy documents.
“We must reach out to every town and village in the 13 local government areas of Ebonyi state, bringing our message of hope to every man and woman. We must inspire our people to embrace this vision, register to vote, and turn out to vote.
“As we await the official flag off of campaigns in accordance with INEC guidelines, I am grateful to those of you who have worked tirelessly to get us here. Our work is just beginning”.
