Glowing tributes are expected at today’s Symposium in honour of the Former United Nations Commonwealth Secretary General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku.
At the Maiden Symposium, the Chief Emeka Anyaoku Institute For International Studies and Diplomacy will be opened, ABS reports.
In attendance were Nigeria’s Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, his predecessor, Peter Obi, Anambra Governor-Elect, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Former Chairman of Police Service Commission, Chief Simon Okeke, Senator Ben Obi, among others.
Speaking during the event’s prelude at the Vice Chancellor’s office, Governor Obiano who expressed delight for the priviledge of recieving the former president noted that Anambra is the light of the Nation, having made appreciable remarkable progress since creation.
The Governor expressed optimism that the lecture series will go a long way to immortalise Chief Anyaoku who is well-acomplished and popularised the state with his good name.
