Uche Okafor-Mefor, a former Deputy Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has said that the detained leader of the separatist group recruited Simon Ekpa whose faction is believed to be behind the violent enforcement of the suspended sit-at-home order.
Mefor’s claims come amidst struggles by the Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo to end the observance of the sit-at-home in the state.
Soludo had on Monday, after a church service declared the end of the Monday sit-at-home order, saying that his administration will go after criminals enforcing it.
However, Mefor in a post on his Facebook page said: “The Indigenous People of Biafra under Nnamdi Kanu(IPONK) are primarily responsible for the ongoing, heightened spate of killings and the spilling of the blood of Igbo Biafrans in Igboland.
“They are the same with AUTOPILOT IPOB-IPONK. But who are Simon Ekpa ,Nelly Ofoegbu and the women in America, including the emissary between Nnamdi Kanu and a very strong politician in Edo state? These men and women were recruited by Nnamdi Kanu. They are part of the wider alliance of evil destroying Igboland.
“Whether they are actually fighting or pretend to fighting themselves is immaterial. Therefore, for the Indigenous People of Biafra under Nnamdi Kanu (IPONK) to pretend to deny Simon Ekpa is the height of subterfuge and sophistry”
