At least seven persons including two pregnant women and a baby were killed on Monday morning during a fire outbreak at the Bonny/Nembe/Bille Jetty in Port Harcourt.

It was gathered that more than 65 passenger boats were also burnt as the fire spread.

Sources said the fire began when some persons were offloading illegally refined crude around 2:30 am, adding that lots of dead bodies were discovered at the site early on Monday morning.

The fire disrupted the movement of people and goods to Bonny, Bille and Nembe.
