Emeka Ihedioha, former governor of Imo State has urged the leadership, members and teeming supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Imo State, to consider the larger interest of the party, especially in their utterances and actions on the issues arising from the PDP Ward Congress for the election of the 3-Man ad hoc delegates in the state.
Hon. Ihedioha informed that efforts are ongoing to resolving all the issues that arose from the Congress.
He was reacting to the dispute which trailed the ward congresses of the party in Imo State.
Recall that the state’s party chairman, Charles Ugwu had accused the National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu of withholding the result sheets of Idiato North and South LGAs.
But according to Ihedioha: “In whatever we do and the interests we are pursuing, we must, without a second a thought, ensure that we place the interests of the party above any other considerations or bias. That is the only way to remain a strong and united party”.
He reiterates confidence in the leadership of the National Chairman, Senator Iyorcha Ayu as a man of integrity to dispassionately resolve all the issues.
“I am confident that our National Chairman, His Excellency Senator Dr. Iyorcha Ayu a man of integrity, fairness and justice to look into the issues and address them to the satisfaction of members and in the interest of the party.
Ihedioha commends the Engr. Charles Ugwu led Executive Committee of the party for their commitment and untiring efforts to reposition the party and enjoined members to comtinue to stand with the leadership of the party as they take all necessary steps to restore calm.
