A chieftain of the Labour Party chieftain in Imo State, Iruno Chukwuonye is dead.
Irounno is the Labour Party candidate for Okigwe State Assembly seat.
Sources said he was to anchor his party’s rally presidential rally scheduled for today in Owerri, Imo State.
According to a Labour Party’s source, the deceased allegedly came back to his house healthy on Monday evening, demanded for food but couldn’t get up again.
He was said to have died on the same chair he sat in his house.
The party in the state is yet to issue a statement on his death as preparations are in top gear for the rally of its Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi.
