In a major shakeup in the Nigeria Police Force, inspector-general of police (IGP) Usman Baba has ordered the posting of CP Abutu Yaro to the Edo State Police Command as the new commissioner of police in charge of the state.
Also, Baba ordered the posting of CP Sikiru Akande Kayode, CP Yekini Adio Ayoku and CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde to head the Adamawa, Kaduna, and Imo State Police command respectively.
Barde, the new commissioner of police, Imo State Police command served in Police College, Jos and Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano as DC Admin.
He equally served in Borno State Police command as deputy commissioner of police in charge of operations. He was one time head of Force CID, Annex, Enugu.
Until his recent appointment, he was the commissioner of police, Adamawa State Police Command. Force PRO, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the posting is with immediate effect.
