Dr Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the vice-presidential candidate of Labour Party has said that Nigerian are realising by the hour that the profession they belong to is labour.

He said that every Nigerian earning a legitimate salary is a member of the Labour movement.

Speaking in a interview on Channels TV’s Politics today on Friday, the former Kaduna Senator said he is bringing prudence to the table.

He said he withdrew from Peoples Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial contest in Kaduna State because he didn’t want to buy delegates.

He added that nobody who buys delegates’ votes will do anything good for Nigerians.

On being running mate to Mr Peter Obi, Baba-Ahmed said: “We are cleaning out the lines of demarcation, religion and ethnicity.

“Labour Party is a train (not like Kaduna – Abuja train), It will be very difficult to blow up.

“Mr. Peter didn’t just gather some, he gathered phenomenon. Because 8m new voters isn’t a joke.

“We believe we’re going to convert a better part of Nigeria, if not into the labour party, it will be into the labour way”.
