As of today, Abia is the second-best in school enrolment in Nigeria. We have consistently taken the lead in WAEC examinations for the last four years while our State University has moved up in ranking from No. 99 to No. 26 and is now the second-best State University in Nigeria.

John Okiyi Kalu, the Abia State Commissioner for Trade and Commerce says his principal, Okezie Ikpeazụ will not support the presidential ambition of the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu.

This follows speculations that Ikpeazụ may support Tinubu with other aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

In a post titled “Leave Governor Ikpeazu out of your Wild Speculations on Endorsement of Tinubu by G5 Governors”, Kalu said Ikpeazụ will support either of party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar or Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

“The Ikpeazu I know is a core PDP man who will naturally want to support his party’s Presidential candidate, if all the right boxes are ticked, including guaranteeing inclusiveness within the party.

“I also know he is strongly Igbocentric even while being firnly nationalistic. He doesn’t hide the fact that he believes in a Nigeria that works for all Nigerians regardless of where you come from and of course he is very proud of his brother Peter Obi and his messaging in this election cycle.

“While I dare not ask him whatever they discussed in London, I am fairly certain he will either back Atiku as a good party man or Obi as the best candidate in the race.

“Stop dragging his name up and down, just wait till the G5 make public their position. But Tinubu will most likely be a No-No for Governor Ikpeazu for many reasons”.
