Hoodlums acting under the tag “Unknown gunmen” have attacked a police station in Ojoto Community, Idemili South local Government Area of Anambra State.
Eyewitnesses said that one Police Inspector was killed during the attack which occurred on Thursday afternoon.
They explained that the hoodlums came in three Sienna vehicles.
It was gathered that policemen on duty prevented the hoodlums from setting the station on fire.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, declined comments on the incident.
He, however, said that he was planning to visit the area immediately, adding that he would respond after the trip.
