A yet-to-be-identified gunmen on Tuesday sacked a combined military and police outpost, killing a chief superintendent of police and another officer.
The incident took place at Essien Udim local government area.
It was gathered that the area has been restive for for months.
The chief superintendent of police killed was identified as Benedict Okoh Ajide.
Community sources said the combined team were stationed in the area for a peace-keeping operation.
