Gunmen hijack bus full of students in Rivers

The Abia State Police Command has confirmed the killing of two businessmen in Aba, the commercial nerve of Abia State on Tuesday.

The police also said it is on a manhunt for the killers of the two businessmen at Ogbor Hill bridge.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Geoffrey Ogbonna, confirmed the incident, adding that the Command had stepped up the investigation into the incident.

Eyewitnesses said that the gunmen in tricycles killed the two men and wounded the son of one of their victims under the Ogbor Hill Waterside bridge.

It was gathered that the gunmen, numbering about eight, confronted one of their victims who was visiting the other, stating that an argument ensued and the gunmen shot their victims.

One of the victims was identified as Sammy Uguru, popularly known as Onye Stock, from Ohafia L.G.A.

Friends said dealt on casual slippers (Pams), at the top of Water-side Bridge Aba .

The son of one of the victims is said to be receiving treatment at a hospital in the area.
