Nine family members in the Maikatako community of Bokkos local government council of Plateau State were killed by gunmen suspected to be Fulani militia on Tuesday night.
According to witnesses, the gunmen stormed the community at about 10 pm and started shooting sporadically, killing the members of the family who were their targets.
A spokesman of the Plateau State Police Command in Plateau, Alfred Alabo, who confirmed the attack, said officers are currently after the assailants.
