Unknown gunmen have in the early hours of Monday burnt down the Ubakala police station.
The station is located in Apumiri community, Ubakala in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State.
StandardObservers gathered that two police officers were killed in the attack which lasted for over one hour but vehicles and the main building of the station were set ablaze.
The attack comes days after another station in Bende was set ablaze by unknown gunmen.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Geoffrey Ogbonna, declined to comment on the attack when contacted on the phone.
The Commissioner of Police, Janet Agbede is also yet to address journalists on the incident.
