Umahi threatens to use Ebubeagu to arrest Anyim, Egwu, other PDP chieftains

The Ebonyi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has raised the alarm over the bribing of judiciary officers by the David Umahi’s administration.

Nwoba Chika Nwoba, the Publicity Secretary of PDP in Ebonyi State said the party was reliably informed that the State Government has promised all senior staff of the Ministry of Justice in the state a piece of Prado Jeep each if they could accept to downplay the Federal High Court’s judgment annulling the purported LGA election in Ebonyi State.

“They are expected to jettison the judgment and go ahead with the planned swearing in of the purportedly elected Chairmen and Councillors on the 1st of September, 2022.

“Let it be known to the staff of the Ministry of Justice and the Commissioner himself that we are in their midst monitoring their transactions with the transitive Ebonyi State Government of David Umahi.

“We are following up whatever meeting, plan and action they are putting in place ahead of the date slated for the violation of the court judgment. We are assuring them that they’ll regret whatever action and decision they’ll take in disobedience of that pristine judgment. We are in their midst and we promise to oversee their consequential punishment which restitution and imprisonment will be chief among them.

“We are also thanking the 171 serving Ward Councillors who met on Saturday, agreed with the judgment of the Court elongating their tenure and releasing a statement to that effect which has been on air since Saturday.

“We are assuring them that we will be following it up and ensure the illwill of the Ebonyi State Government’s agents over the unsullied judgment and matters arising doesn’t prevail”.
