The 2021 edition of the Eastern Nigeria International Film Festival (ENIFF) has ended in Enugu.
The festival which started on the 17th of November and ended on Saturday, 20th November, 2021 featured 50 films selected from all over the world in different categories (feature film, short film, animation and documentary)
The event had its opening ceremony at the Coal City University (CCU), Enugu and was graced by Veteran actor, Chief Pete Edochie, Professor Afam Ituma (Vice Chancellor of CCU) and Hon. Ugonna Ibeh (Commissioner for culture and tourism Enugu state) as well as a host of others who also appreciated the good work of Mrs Ujuaku Akukwe-Nwakalor (Founder ENIFF) for promoting culture and films in Nigeria.
The founder, Mrs Ujuaku thanked everyone for coming for the 2nd ENIFF, recalling that the first was done virtually and promised a bigger event next year.
The second and third day of the film festival had trainings on film making as well as 50 movies screened at VIVA Cinema Enugu of which a film produced by Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) was selected and screened.
The film titled ARU KWO NWA featured the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano.
On the closing day, 20th November 2021, the president and founder of ENIFF thanked everyone that submitted films and also stated that the 50 films were carefully selected out of over 200 films submitted to the festival.
