The National Youths Service Corps, NYSC has said it did not issue the Certificate of Discharge paraded by Enugu State Governor, Mr. Peter Mbah
NYSC disclosed this while testifying on Friday before the Enugu State Election Petition Tribunal.
NYSC Director of Corps Certification, Ibrahim A. Muhammad, made the revelation after the NYSC letter to the tribunal was admitted before the court.
Earlier in a letter dated February 01, 2023, tendered and admitted by the tribunal signed by Muhammad, stated as follows: “We are pleased to inform you that the Certificate of National Service belonging to Mba Peter Ndubuisi with certificate number A808297 forwarded for verification was not issued by the NYSC.
Earlier lawyers representing Peter Mba fought spiritedly to prevent the NYSC director from testifying, creating a rowdy session until they were overruled.
