Paschal Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest has reportedly been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
He was arrested at Abuja airport while trying to return to Owerri, the Imo State capital after watching the Nigeria vs. Ghana FIFA World Cup qualifying match at the National Stadium, Abuja.
Sources within the commission said the businessman was arrested for alleged money laundering and tax fraud, adding that he had not been released since then.
Wilson Uwajeren, spokesperson of the commission could not be reached for comments on the alleged arrest.
It’s Cubana Chiefpriest’s birthday today and unfortunately he is cooling off in EFCC detention.
Okechukwu is as also the Special Assistant on Social Influence to Governor Hope Uzodimma.
