Bandits numbering over three hundred have attacked the town Nasko in Niger State killing no less than 50 persons.
Also killed during the attack was DCP Umar Mohammed Dankigari, the DPO of the police station in the area and several of his officers.
A source in the community said the bandits invaded the town at about 2.00 pm on Wednesday, shooting sporadically.
He said the bandits were numbering 300 enter. “They killed many. The DPO is dead and some other police officers. Our luck is that we didn’t go to work this week. There is (NLC) strike. Bandits would have targeted us first before going to the station”.
