Azman Air has halted flight operations to Kaduna Airport, days after terrorists blocked one of its planes from flying.

The airline’s management in a statement explained that it suspended operations in Kaduna to re-evaluate its operational procedures in the airport, People Gazette reports.

“The management of Azman Air will like to inform the general public that we will be halting our operations into Kaduna airport for a few days,” the airline said.

Despite acknowledging that the security situation around the airport has returned to normal, the airline said the suspension was needed to ensure the safety of its equipment, staff and passengers are fully guaranteed.

Armed bandits on Saturday afternoon breached security at the airport, an Azman plane from taking off from Kaduna Airport.

The attack allegedly caused a 44-minute delay in an Azman Air flight from Kaduna to Lagos. However, passengers aboard the plane arrived safely.
