Former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar has deleted a Facebook p 7ost and tweet where he condemned the beating to death of Miss Deborah Samuel Yakubu.
Yakubu, a Christian from Zeru in Kebbi State was killed at Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto for alleged blasphemy.
Her killing and setting ablaze drew wide condemnation including from Atiku but he quickly deleted his after Muslims said that they won’t vote for him for condemning the action.
Atiku, himself a professing Muslim quickly deleted the post and tweet. The deletion drew sharp criticism from Christians who said he was afraid of condemning his base.
He later wrote in another Hausa Facebook account that the post was made without his orders.
