The Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, has dismissed the appeal challenging the affirmation of Uche Ogbuagu as the authentic candidate of the Labour Party for the Mbaitoli Ikeduru Federal Constituency election of 2023.
The appeal was filed against the judgment of the Federal High Court, Owerri, Imo State, delivered on the 26th of October, 2022, in favour of Ogbuagu by Domike Lawrence, candidate of the Accord Party for the Mbaitoli Ikeduru Federal Constituency election for 2023 who was dissatisfied with the judgment of the Federal High Court, Owerri Division.
The Lead Counsel for Ogbuagu, Barr. Mike Ohaka, stated to reporters immediately after the judge that the Court of Appeal, in delivering the well-researched judgment, affirmed the entire findings and ruling of the Federal High Court on all the issues discussed at the Court below.
