Chieftains of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Abia state say they will purchase an Expression of interest and Nomination for Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe to run for office in 2023.
This is as the chieftains met with the gubernatorial aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, urging him to defect to APGA.
Obinna Ichita, the leader of APGA in Ebonyi disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
Abaribe is in a struggle for the soul of the PDP in Abia with Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who is also from the same senatorial district as the senate minority leader.
Ikpeazu, it was gathered is running to replace Abaribe at the Senate come 2023.
According to Ichita: “The Leadership of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State visited Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe today.
“We invited the distinguished Senator to join our party. We also informed him that concerned progressives will purchase the Expression of interest and Nomination forms tomorrow to enable him to run for Senate under the platform of APGA”.
