The Anambra State Government says plans are underway to construct a rail line that will connect all the twenty-one Local Government Areas of the State.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Transport Mrs Patricia Igwebuike.

Mrs Igwebuike said that the move which will be under the Public-Private Partnership arrangement is part of the efforts of the Professor Chukwuma Soludo administration to make transportation accessible to the people.

Mrs Igwebuike explained further that the present administration has a series of innovations that can change the landscape of Anambra State, called on the people to see the development of Anambra State as a collective responsibility.

The Transport Commissioner who announced measures put in place by the Soludo government to improve land and water transportation cautioned Motorists against violating traffic rules and regulations.

Mrs Igwebuke, however, advised Motorists to update their Driver’s license and other particulars to avoid the wrath of traffic officials.
