Following the emergence of videos of a viral sex party in its facility, the Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Culture , Entertainment and Tourism has closed down Wintess Garden Hotels Ifite Awka.
On Monday, the videos of a party emerged on the Internet showing two people having sex on a sofa to the applause of others.
Divergent reactions trailed the act on social media. Anambra residents had urged the Government of Prof Chukwuma Soludo to wade in and rescue the situation to avoid a repeat of such occurrence.
On Thursday, the Anambra State Government commenced investigation into the incident and temporarily closed down the hotel.
The government said appropriate measures will be taken at the end of the investigation.
