22-year-old student stabbed to death in Anambra

Chiamaka Mabel Okeke, a 300-Level student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), has been killed by suspected armed robbers in Anambra State.

The 22-year-old Okeke was killed on Tuesday at a shawarma spot while several others sustained wounds.

It was gathered that Okeke who was a student of the Department of History and International Studies, died after she was stabbed during a robbery attack at a Shawarma spot where she had been working due to the ongoing ASUU strike.

The Incident Happened at the popular Ezi Alias junction in Enugwu-Ukwu, Nijkoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.

A source said all attempts to save the deceased proved futile as she died while being taken to the hospital.

When contacted, Ikenga Tochukwu, the public relations officer of the Anambra State command said he had not been informed about the development.

He promised to respond appropriately when he has been briefed on the matter.
